It was with great sadness that the Left in the European Parliament learned of the passing of our comrade, friend and former MEP, Jaromír Kohlíček.

Elected from Czech Republic, Jaromír joined our group from 2004 to 2014 and again from 2016 to 2019.

He was a very proud GUE/NGL and KSČM member and he worked with dedication on many committees and delegations during his years in Brussels with a particular focus on transport, research and energy.

We send our condolences to his friends and family and to our comrades in the KSČM party.
